PUEBLO -- Two nurses from Parkview Medical Center and one nurse each from Arkvalley Resource Center, Centura St. Mary-Corwin Medical Center and Colorado Mental Health Institutes at Pueblo were honored Friday, March 31, as 2017 Colorado Nightingale Luminaries. 

Receiving the regional honor were Parkview's Rhonda Lewis and Janet Philson, Arkvalley's Chris Casper, Centura St. Mary-Corwin's Ellen Lane and Kelly Wade of Colorado Mental Health Institutes.

The five are among 57 luminaries from across Colorado at the state Nightingale Luminary Awards and Gala on Saturday, May 13, 2017, at the Grand Hyatt Denver. 

Tickets, tables and sponsorships for the the state event can be purchased online through early May, availability permitting. 

The Colorado Nurses Foundation administers the Colorado Nightingale Luminary Awards and convenes the statewide committee that selects 12 recipients of the Colorado Nightingale Award. The Southeastern Colorado Area Health Education Center solicits nominations regionally and each year designates up to six Luminaries locally.
